Cagrilintide
Cagrilintide is a long-acting analogue of amylin, a 37-amino-acid pancreatic hormone co-secreted with insulin by pancreatic beta cells. Amylin plays a role in satiety and gastric emptying. Cagrilintide is in clinical development by Novo Nordisk both as a standalone weight-management compound and, more prominently, in the CagriSema combination with semaglutide. Phase 3 trial data has been reported. UK status is investigational, not yet licensed.
