What "best" actually means here

There is no single best UK GLP-1 route in the way that comparison content sometimes implies. Two licensed UK GLP-1 medications (semaglutide and tirzepatide) are dispensed across NHS and private routes. The medication is the same. What changes between routes is the consultation depth, who picks up the phone if something goes wrong, the cost per month, and how quickly the next dose tier becomes available.

For users who fit a current NHS cohort, the NHS service is generally the right starting point. Once outside those cohorts, the choice becomes private clinic versus pharmacy versus walk-in. The high-touch clinic adds a coach and an app on top of the prescription, suiting users who want structure for the first three to six months. The pharmacy route suits users who have already stabilised and want straightforward maintenance supply at the lower cost band.
