Cream vs serum: which to choose

Serums are higher peptide concentration in a thinner base; they sit closer to the skin layer where the peptide is meant to act. Creams are lower peptide concentration in a richer occlusive base; they trade some active depth for hydration and barrier support.

For dry-to-normal skin where moisture loss is also a concern, a copper peptide cream replacing a separate moisturiser is rational. For oily-to-combination skin focused on the active itself, a GHK-Cu serum followed by a peptide-free moisturiser is typically the better split.
