[0:08] AOD-9604 is a synthetic peptide. It is a modified fragment of human growth hormone, corresponding to the final part of the molecule, which is why it is sometimes called an HGH fragment.
[0:16] It was originally developed and trialled as a candidate obesity treatment. Those clinical trials did not lead to a licensed product, and development as a medicine was not carried through.
[0:24] The published evidence is preclinical and early phase, and the human trial results were limited. AOD-9604 holds no UK marketing authorisation and is not approved by the MHRA as a medicine.
