[0:09] Both are growth hormone releasing hormone analogues. Both act on the same pituitary receptor pathway. The structural difference matters.
[0:19] Sermorelin is a 29 amino acid fragment of natural GHRH. It has a very short circulating half life, measured in minutes. It was previously licensed in the United States as Geref, and that licence was withdrawn in 2008.
[0:29] CJC-1295 is a modified GHRH analogue. The DAC variant, which carries a drug affinity complex modification, binds to albumin in plasma and extends the half life into days in animal studies. The non-DAC variant behaves more like sermorelin. Published human trials of CJC-1295 are limited and early phase.
