[0:08] GHK-Cu is a copper-binding tripeptide. The peptide is glycyl histidyl lysine, complexed with copper. It was discovered in human plasma by biochemist Loren Pickart in 1973.
[0:17] It is the most-studied cosmetic peptide. Topical research supports a role in collagen synthesis, skin barrier repair, and antioxidant activity.
[0:25] In the UK it sits in two very different categories. As a cosmetic ingredient in topical serums, it is regulated under UK cosmetic law and stocked at Cult Beauty, LookFantastic, Space NK, and Boots. The injectable research-peptide form is a separate regulatory pathway.
[0:34] Most published topical research uses zero point one to one percent. UK serums often sit lower.
