Tool
True cost-per-mg calculator
The advertised vial price is not what a research peptide costs. Shipping and minimum order quantities change the real cost per mg, and affiliate price lists quote the sticker price only. Enter the vial price, vial size, order quantity, and delivery cost, and this tool returns the true delivered cost per mg. Price math reference for UK research-use buyers. Not a dosing tool. Not a recommendation.
Some retailers set a minimum order quantity or a minimum basket value. Enter the smallest order they will actually ship.
UK tracked delivery typically £3 to £10. Several green-tier retailers ship free above a threshold (£25 to £75); enter 0 if your basket clears it.
Compare like with like: run the same compound and vial size across retailers, with each retailer's own shipping and minimum order. A vial that looks £4 cheaper can cost more per mg once a £9.95 courier charge lands on a one-vial order. Default values illustrate a typical 5mg vial at a green-tier UK retailer price. Verify current prices on the retailer site; our snapshot is monthly.
The math
- · Sticker price per mg = price per vial ÷ mg per vial. The number affiliate comparison lists quote.
- · Total order cost = (price per vial × vials) + shipping.
- · True cost per mg = total order cost ÷ (mg per vial × vials). What you actually pay per mg delivered.
- · Uplift = how much the true cost per mg exceeds the sticker figure. Shipping spread over a small order is the usual driver.
| Step | Value |
|---|---|
| Sticker price per mg | £3.19 |
| Total order cost | £20.90 |
| True cost per mg, delivered | £4.18 |
| Uplift vs sticker | +31% |

Illustrative only. A single-vial order carries the whole shipping charge, so the true cost per mg runs well above the sticker figure. Larger orders dilute shipping but tie up more budget. Price math only, not a recommendation and not medical advice.

Caveats
- · Research use only. This tool prices lyophilised vials; it does not output a dose, a protocol, or anything per-person.
- · It excludes bacteriostatic water (typically £4 to £8 per 10ml vial) and consumables.
- · A suspiciously low cost per mg is a purity red flag, not a bargain. Check whether the retailer publishes per-batch certificates of analysis on our CoA Trust Index before treating any price as real.
- · Currency: GBP, UK retailers. International retailers add customs handling and longer delivery on top.
- · For an annual view across compounds, see the 12-month supply cost calculator.
“Cost per mg is a purchasing metric, not a quality metric. The cheapest delivered milligram is worthless if the retailer cannot show a per-batch third-party certificate of analysis, and underpriced product is one of the classic signs of underdosed or mislabelled vials. Use this tool to compare honest retailers on equal terms, not to chase the lowest number on the page.”
